Learn Spanish in SurreySpanish Teacher

Robert (Sutton)
Highly qualified teacher of Spanish and modern languages with advanced academic degrees and over 20 years international experience in secondary and tertiary education. Responsible and confident leader, team player and communicator with a great passion for languages and teaching.

Pedro (Camden)
I am a Spanish native and have been living and working in England for almost 20 years.  I am originally from Barcelona but I don’t like football!  I have been working for Conversation Piece for many years now and their methods are great and really work.  If you are looking to learn Spanish anywhere around north London I hope you get in touch soon.  Learning Spanish is both fun and easy and the sooner you start the sooner you will be ‘hablar Espanol!’

Javier (Epsom)
My main area of expertise is in teaching Spanish and English as a foreign language. This skill was gained whilst studying for my degree in Mexico, and further enhanced while working in England.

I attended a RSA Certificate course, which provided me with the necessary skills to teach a language. During this time, I designed and planned a 30-week course. I learned to carefully plan lessons, to design listening and comprehension tasks, as well as written and oral tasks. I also developed my own materials, which I currently use in my classrooms.

The method I still use is mainly communicative, giving great emphasis to listening comprehension and speaking skills. I have experience teaching children and adults of all ages and levels. I am a self-motivated person and always give the best of myself and have a positive attitude.

Carmen (Wimbledon)
I have worked as a private Spanish and English teacher in my local community. My current students are beginners in English and advanced Spanish learners. I am also teaching English and Spanish privately to advanced students. Since there is a great demand for students to learn Spanish in our community for everyday use, the method I use is communicative, giving emphasis to everyday situations and colloquial language.

Amelia (Kington-upon-Thames)
I have had experience teaching Spanish as a foreign language to adult beginners in four different Adult Education Centres. I work with two Spanish books published by the BBC, which included a videotape, a tape and a book. My lessons aim to provide students with a general knowledge of Spanish, giving a quick overview of Spanish from Spain and how to get by when going on holidays. I compliment my lessons with another publication from the BBC called Sueños. This book is of great use since it provides a review of Latin-American Spanish, which gives students a general idea of the language in the continent. I also regularly develop other exercises of my own.

Raquella (Woking)
I have been teaching Spanish to adults since 1988 and also children in primary school since 2004. I find both stimulating and thoroughly enjoy the contrast. I make regular visits to Spain where I have lived for various periods, the longest being 2 years. I have also taught French to adults and keep up to date in career development by regularly attending professional language training courses.

Iris (Kingston-on-Thames)
On a one-to-one basis I practice the pronunciation and conversation of the Spanish Language with high school students. This work supplements the schools standard curriculum, and through my work I help to enhance the children’s language skills. I work with children at Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced levels and I prepare the GCSE students for their exams. I’m also teaching Spanish Classes with adults. Before each class I prepare my materials and exercises and during each lesson I motivate students to participate in the classes themselves. I believe this to be a valuable tool that ensures students come out of their courses being able to apply their newfound knowledge. This method means I can create a good friendly atmosphere.
